KMF Strong Partners with USO & Local Marines for Team USO
Do you want to challenge Marines to pushup and pullup contests? Do you want to donate to a worthy cause? Then you need to come down to KMF Strong on Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m.
The USO partnered with local Marines and KMF Strong to host a fundraising event for the 2023 Boston Marathon® team. Participants can donate to Team USO for the opportunity to go up against a Marine in either pullups or pushups.
Fair warning, KMF Strong co-founder and former Marine Kristian Bandeira doesn’t plan to lose his crown. Kristian joined the Marine Corps right out of high school and served for four years. He was the pullup leader in every unit he was with during his military career and is excited to go up against fellow Marines to benefit the USO. His max set of pullups is 32.
Kristian has always had an affinity for fitness and decided to open his own gym after he and his business partner were laid off during the pandemic. KMF Strong is a client-based private gym that looks to help people become the best versions of themselves by developing programs tailored to their nutrition and fitness needs.
When the USO approached Kristian to collaborate, he was more than happy to oblige because the USO was there for him during his military career and he loves a healthy dose of competition. So, how can you best someone like Kristian at pullups? We’re not sure it’s possible, but you’ll never know unless you come down and try.
“The key to mastering the good pullup is to keep doing pullups,” said Kristian. “Practice makes improvement.“
Looks like you better start training your upper body because the competition is coming up fast and Kristian is waiting to take you on!
