North Maine Woods Vehicle Trek & Camp Out

USO personnel planning 3 Day 2 night trek through The Great North Woods in Maine.

We are providing pre-planned route, leading other personnel in their vehicles, providing Snacks (smore’s supplies), Fishing Equipment, outdoor games, hosting Camp Fire Stories at night and other activities.

For safety reasons a go/no-go determination on weather will be made 2 days prior to the event.

Route Maps and a schedule of events/planned camping area will be provided to personnel signed up prior to the event.

Personnel registered for this event will need to purchase their own Camping/Day Pass from NMW Ranger Station

Personnel registered for this event are responsible for the safety of the people they bring and their vehicles, to include food, medical, vehicle repair, etc. Also: Bring sufficient personal medication and inform a buddy of its location. Stay hydrated and protect yourself from sun exposure and insect bites. Follow Leave No Trace principles: pack out all trash, minimize campfire impact, and respect wildlife. All participants must sign a waiver acknowledging the risks involved in outdoor activities. The organizers are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property.
