Despite historic weather conditions, freezing winds and driving rain, Team USO made a proud debut in the 2018 Boston Marathon! They demonstrated incredible strength and endurance through harsh conditions, and admirable commitment to their fellow service members and families through their dedicated outreach and support of the USO mission. We are proud of each one of them!
As if the incredible accomplishments of Marathon Monday weren’t enough, the three members of Team USO–two soldiers and one Army spouse–have currently raised over $70,000 to help provide funding for programs and events that support active duty service members and military families all year round. You can send your congratulations to our runners by joining them in supporting the USO.
USO New England also hosted a Marathon Viewing Party for service members at the Natick VFW located at Mile 9 of the route. Nearly 100 people braved the rain and wind to join us in cheering on Team USO!
