3,000 packs of cookies donated by Girl Scouts of the Eastern Massachusetts
A special delivery to Quonset, Rhode Island
St. Patty's Day cheer being spread at CG Base Boston
This spring, USO New England volunteers and staff picked up an extremely generous donation from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts – 250 cases of Girl Scout cookies, or over 3,000 packs!
We have had a blast spreading these sweet treats to active duty service members throughout our region. We welcomed the visiting crew of the USCGC DEPENDABLE to Base Boston with smiles and cookies, and made a special delivery to Quonset, Rhode Island.
Then with the help of our volunteers, we were able to make lots of deliveries on St. Patrick’s Day to nominated and randomly chosen installations. Volunteers and staff made cookie deliveries installations all over the New England region: SERE School Students at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine, the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island, soldiers at Soldier System Center Natick, and Coast Guard Stations Point Judith and Castle Hill.
THANK YOU Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts for being such a strong (and sweet!) Force Behind the Forces with your generous donation!
